For employers

Good hiring is about more than filling a vacancy.

HopeStart works with employers to identify needs, connect with suitable candidates, support onboarding, and strengthen retention. Our goal is a workable fit for the employer and the person—not simply a placement.

Recruitment support that continues beyond the introduction.

Recruitment & pre-screening

Clarify the role, identify the skills and attributes that matter, and connect with candidates whose goals and experience align with the opportunity.

Matching & placement

Support the connection between workplace needs and a candidate’s skills, capabilities, interests, experience and employment plan.

Onboarding & workplace supports

Depending on eligibility and need, supports may include onboarding planning, job coaching, accommodations, adaptive equipment or other short-term employment supports.

Retention & follow-up

Stay connected after hire so emerging concerns can be addressed early and both the employer and employee have a point of contact.

Employment Ontario partnership

Some placements may qualify for additional supports.

Integrated Employment Services can provide targeted supports for eligible job seekers and employers. Depending on the placement, program rules and available funding, these may include onboarding assistance, workplace accommodations, adaptive equipment, job coaching or placement incentives such as wage subsidies.

  • Supports are assessed case by case
  • Eligibility and funding are not guaranteed
  • Our team can explain what may apply before a placement is finalized
  • Retention and sustainable employment remain the focus

Inclusive hiring

Practical support for a stronger workplace fit.

Inclusive hiring does not have to mean lowering expectations. It can mean being clearer about essential job requirements, removing unnecessary barriers, planning onboarding well, and responding early when a new employee needs support to succeed.
