Depending on your needs and eligibility, employment services may include much more than résumé help. Our role is to help you understand which supports make sense and connect the pieces into one employment plan.
- Assessment of skills, interests, abilities and employment goals
- Career and occupational information, including local labour-market information
- Job-search strategies, applications, résumé development and interview preparation
- Information and referral to skills training, certifications and other Employment Ontario programs
- Better Jobs Ontario exploration and application support when appropriate
- Employer matching, job development and placement support
- Employment-related financial or placement supports where eligible and available
- Job retention, workplace problem-solving and referral to community supports
What to expect
A practical process, with someone in your corner.
The plan can change as you learn more, interview, enter training, or start work. We stay focused on movement toward sustainable employment—not simply completing activities.
- Start with a conversation. We learn about your goals, work history, strengths, barriers, current circumstances, and what you want to change.
- Build your employment plan. Together we identify priorities, job-search steps, referrals, training considerations, and the supports that may help.
- Move into action. Work on applications and interviews, explore opportunities, connect with employers, and prepare for the transition into work.
- Stay supported after hire. Employment Ontario includes follow-up and retention support so emerging challenges can be addressed early.
Eligibility & access

Eligibility can depend on your circumstances and the specific service or financial support being considered. You do not need to interpret the program rules on your own. We can review your situation, explain what may be available, and make referrals when another service is a better fit.

Connected to employers
We don’t just prepare people for work. We help create the connection.
Our employer work can include candidate matching, placement planning, onboarding support, job coaching, accommodations and retention follow-up. Where program rules allow, eligible placements may also have access to financial incentives or other employment-related supports.
