What we work on

Real-life goals, not abstract lessons.

Support can be individualized or group-based and may happen where the skill is actually used—at home, in the community, in a workshop setting, or virtually where appropriate.

Life skills & routines

Organization, time management, household responsibilities, meal planning, budgeting, decision-making, problem-solving and everyday routines.

Communication & self-advocacy

Expressing needs, building interpersonal skills, navigating relationships, practising boundaries, and growing confidence speaking up for yourself.

Wellness & resilience

Understanding emotions, identifying stressors, developing coping strategies, adapting to change, and building habits that support everyday wellbeing.

Community participation

Exploring activities, navigating the community, volunteering, building social confidence, developing interests, and strengthening a sense of belonging.

Built around the person

There is no single definition of progress.

Some people want greater independence. Others want stronger routines, more confidence in the community, better communication, new relationships, or preparation for future goals. We identify what meaningful progress looks like with the person—and, where appropriate, their family or support network.

Possible formats

  • Individual coaching and life-skills support
  • Small-group workshops and skill-building cohorts
  • Community-based practice and participation
  • Mental health and wellness coaching that is non-clinical and goal-focused
  • Coordination with other supports where appropriate and consented

Funding

Some services may be suitable for Passport funding.

Eligibility and allowable expenses depend on the individual’s funding plan and the service being used. We can explain the service format and documentation we provide so individuals and families can determine whether it fits their funding arrangement.
